Water Cycle The continuous movement of water from the ocean to the atmosphere to the land and back to the ocean
Evaporation When water from the ocean and the eartha??s surface changes into water vapor
Condensation When water vapor cools and changes into water droplets that form clouds in the atmosphere
Precipitation Rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls from the clouds onto the Eartha??s land and oceans

Water Table The upper surface of underground water; the upper boundary of the zone saturation

Porosity The percentage of the total volume of a rock or sediment that consists of open space
Permeability The ability of a rock or sediment to let fluids pass through open spaces or pores
Impermeable A rock that stops the flow of water
Artesian Spring A spring whose water flows from a crack in the cap rock over the aquifer
Well A human made hole that is deeper that the level of the water table
